School Specialty and CFP Foundation Team Up to Transform South Florida’s Stranahan High School

While the Alabama Crimson Tide have been celebrating their College Football Playoff National Championship win in Miami earlier this year, there was an additional winner in South Florida celebrating just as substantially. School Specialty, in partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation (CFP Foundation), the Orange Bowl, and Broward County Public Schools, helped provide a state-of-the-art media lab at Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale.

The new media lab gives a dynamic atmosphere exactly where students can discover, style, and make.

The donation is aspect of the Extra Yard Makeover Project, an annual tradition of providing in which School Specialty and the CFP Foundation group up to make more dynamic studying environments inside schools in the location exactly where the National Championship game is becoming played. The foundation chooses deserving schools that will advantage from the makeovers, and School Specialty performs with them to style modern day environments that assistance more active and engaging studying.

The renovation at Stranahan High School encompasses new furnishings and revolutionary technologies to provide a dynamic environment exactly where students can really feel free of charge to discover, style, and make. Features of the new media lab involve a music recording studio, a screen printing and laser engraving studio, a VR hub, a 12-station eSports gaming location, a 3D printer, and an animation center. The grand unveiling and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new state-of-the-art lab took spot in August and was attended by students and educators who have been delighted with the makeover and eager for the special studying possibilities it delivers.
